Benefits

Baptist Health Care seeks to provide a work environment that includes benefits that ensure security and provide many of the amenities of life. Our benefits program is designed to provide you and your family with benefit solutions to help you stay healthy, feel secure and maintain a work/life balance. Baptist Health Care shares the cost of some benefits with you and provides voluntary benefits if you choose to enroll. The benefit costs you are responsible for are automatically deducted from your paycheck, either before or after taxes are calculated.

Coverage begins on the first of the month after 30 days of employment, if enrollment is completed within 30 days of the hire date.

Full-time and part-time team members are eligible to participate in the Voluntary Benefits programs from date of hire. Enrollment must be done within 30 days of date of hire.

Wellness Program

My Healthy Blueprint is a year-round wellness program that rewards you for making your health a priority. Through MHB you have the opportunity to participate in wellness programs and health resources that improves your health and happiness. Health insurance premiums will be reduced for team members and spouses who participate in the program.

CVS Partnership Offers BHC Team Members FREE Walk-In Care

Team Members and dependents covered under the Baptist Health Care (BHC) health plan can visit CVS MinuteClinics for free walk-in care – no appointment necessary. This service provides convenient care for colds, flu, sinus infections, and minor aches and pains. All visits are free whether the team member is on the PPO or high deductible plan. Spouses and dependents, including children age 2 and older, covered under the BHC health plans, also are eligible for this benefit.

Retirement Savings Plans 403(B)

Baptist Health Care offers all of its team members a retirement savings plan to provide a way to save for retirement years. Team members can contribute a percentage of their paychecks each pay period in a variety of mutual funds as well as a fixed interest type of product. Income taxes are not withheld from personal contributions, but Social Security taxes are withheld. Furthermore, earnings on the investments are tax deferred until the money is withdrawn from the account, usually at retirement. Additionally, BHC assist staff with saving for retirement by providing company contributions. Eligibility for Employer Matching Contribution is 1,000 hours and one year of service. Employer match is 50% up to first 4% of the team member deferral, then 25% up to next 2% of team member deferral. Vesting 100% after 3 years.

Life Long Learning – Tuition Reimbursement Program

The Life Long Learning (LLL) Program is a benefit that promotes educational excellence by offering tuition reimbursement to team members pursuing higher education. New team members are eligible to apply to the LLL Program as soon as they begin employment with Baptist. Applications are available year-round. Team members are reimbursed at the end of the semester upon proof of course payment and a completed course grade of B- or better.

The LLL Program supports undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees. Full- time team members may receive up to a maximum of $2,600 per year for courses taken at accredited academic institutions. Part-time team members may receive up to a maximum of $1,300 per year for courses taken at accredited academic institutions.
