Job Description

The Compensation Analyst plays a key role in the design, development, and implementation of organization wide compensation programs in an effort to drive competitiveness. The position provides support to human resources team members and leaders across the organization. The position develops job descriptions, analyzes positions, performs rate review requests, tracks compensation changes, and conducts presentations. The Compensation Analyst provides analytical support for projects and deliverables, utilizes and maintains appropriate compensation tools, systems and databases, and processes compensation changes in human resources information system.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes market data and trends to recommend competitive pay ranges and differential pay for the organization.
  • Maintains accurate compensation data in HRIS and compensation data management software, and audits compensation data on a continuous basis including new hire and transfer rate offers, years of experience, and other information tracked within the systems.
  • Processes compensation and position changes in HRIS and communicates with leaders to ensure accurate hierarchy in HRIS.
  • Conducts review of job levels, assesses and makes recommendations regarding requests for new job titles and updates job current descriptions with input from other human resources staff and organization leaders.
  • Prepares and accurately responds to annual salary surveys to ensure proper job mapping and thorough completion of survey questionnaires.
  • Researches and provides recommendations on variable pay practices such as shift differential, on-call, callback and other healthcare specific variable pay types.
  • Maintains accurate HR repository of job descriptions.
  • Collaborates with talent partners and hiring managers to review escalated salary offers.
  • Supports the development, revision, and tracking of all organization HR agreements (sign-on bonus, retention bonus, PRN agreements, etc.).
  • Works with HR leadership to review and recommend changes to compensation policies and procedures
  • Develops slide decks and presents compensation information to leaders and HR staff.
  • Manages and oversees various compensation and HR related projects including audits, data reviews and clean-up, cross-functional special projects, and others as assigned.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resource Management, Finance or another related field required
  • Four years of related experience in lieu of degree

Experience
  • 3 Years Experience in of Supporting the compensation function Required
  • Healthcare Compensation experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Human Resource Professional (CP-SHRM, SCP-SHRM, PHR-HRCI, SPHR-HRCI) Preferred
