Job Description

The Manager-Therapy Services is responsible for management and oversight of day to day operations. This position will contribute to the strategic development and implementation of programs tied to growth opportunities within Baptist Health Care and Andrews Institute branded rehab services. This position provides specific attention to the daily operations and productivity of the clinic. This position will align the rehabilitation initiatives to better improve our brand awareness and profitability for Andrews Institute branded rehab services as well as Baptist Health Care. This position will have patient care responsibilities in addition to management duties. The amount of time spent in each is determined by the size of the clinic/department managed.

Responsibilities

Manage team members which include orientation, development and evaluation of personnel, and monitoring the provision of delivering quality services. Participates in the recruiting, interviewing and selecting of team members following policies, guidelines and applicable laws. Evaluates their performance relative to job goals and requirements. Provides coaching to staff, recommends in-service education programs, and ensures adherence to internal policies and standards. Is responsible for the fiscal management of department; assures proper utilization of organization's financial resources. Is responsible for department's operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards. Effectively communicates departmental, organization, and industry information to staff. Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice. Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice. Coordinates patient care with other clinical team members ensuring optimal patient care and communication as noted in the clinical record. Monitors the treatment activities of PTA's and aides. Completes all required paperwork following Physical Therapy department policies and procedures to ensure that documentation reflects care provided and the outcomes achieved as evidenced in the clinical record. Maintains and enhances personal knowledge as well as promoting professional standards in therapy services.Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization. May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
  • Associates Degree Physical Therapy Assistant Required or
  • Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Required or
  • Master's Degree Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Required or
  • Doctorate Physical Therapy Required

Minimum Work Experience
  • 1-3 years Clinical experience in applicable setting Required
  • 5 years Clinical experience in applicable setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications
  • Occupational Therapist Licensed State of Florida Upon Hire Required or
  • Physical Therapist Licensed State of Florida Upon Hire Required or
  • Speech Pathologist Licensed State of Florida Upon Hire Required or
  • Physical Therapist Assistant Licensed State of Florida Upon Hire Required or
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
